Taco Seasoning- better than store-bought and easy to make

Taco Seasoning- better than the package!

Taco seasoning is one of those kitchen staples we never think of making from scratch, I  believe we feel it would be too difficult to make or there is some secret ingredient that would be impossible to replicate. Truth is, it is very easy, full of flavor and best of all? it is cheap to make AND makes a great gift! Bottle some taco seasoning, add a pretty label with instructions and pair with with a jar of homemade salsa and you have a stellar gift anyone would enjoy!

Taco Seasoning

Ingredients

1/4 cup chili powder
1/4 cup cumin
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon oregano, paprika, ground pepper
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

Directions

Place in a glass jar, shake to combine ingredients
As a helpful note:  I wash used jam glass jars, remove labels and repurpose them for this kind of homemade seasonings.
This seems like you are making too much, but:
3 tablespoons = 1 purchased taco packet
Easy and it allows you, the consumer the amount of sodium and taste preferences in your hands.  How grand!
